The
Recycling Experts ®- Total Document Security
Step-By-Step

Decide which service option to use our On-site or Off-site
service
to shred your records.
On-site destruction services: A Shredd-Safe
On-Site Shredding (SOS) Officer in uniform will come to
your company premises, and pick up your security
records. Security On-Site Shredding will provide various
size security bins to be placed throughout the business
office areas in convenient locations. These bins have
built-in locks to ensure documents cannot be removed
without a key. The material in the bin will be destroyed
on-site at the customer's location. The shredded paper
will then be taken to our facility or directly to a
recycler and will be recycled. (15 minutes per bin
process).
A certification of destruction will be provided with the
invoice by our technician.
Off-site destruction services: A Shredd-Safe
On-Site Shredding (SOS) Officer in uniform will come to
your company premises, and pick up your security
records. Shredd-Safe On-Site Shredding will still supply
the customer with security bins but the materials will
be brought to our facility to be shredded and bailed
into one or two ton bails. A certification of destruction will be provided with the
invoice.

Midstates Recycling Services has
been serving Southeastern Michigan for over 26 years. Our
processing facility is located near Detroit Metropolitan
Airport. We are housed on over seven acres with two
production facilities, a maintenance garage and a warehouse.
Our fleet consists of twelve trucks, one hundred trailers
and 3000 office carts. Our facility is continually
inspected and site approved.
Our fleet is monitored by GPS
using @ Road Communications. This is a GPS subscription
service that our vehicles have installed on board. At the
end of each day I am able to print all the information from
the day of where the truck has been, how fast it has
traveled and how long it stops at any location throughout
the day.
All of our drivers are put through a background check this
is administered by a private company. The drivers are looked
at in several different areas. Most importantly a criminal
background check is done to find any prior convictions or
current charges that may be part of their past. A driving
record is also pulled. This will show any tickets, accidents
or convictions tied to the driver. They are also screened
for past employment history. This means that for the last
seven years their employers are contacted and asked to
answer a series of questions that will allow them to make a
complete evaluation of the likelihood of successful
employment.
Our facility is fenced (all 7.41
acres) and locked at all times during non business hours.
The buildings are protected by Guardian Alarm using motion
sensors, door switches and smoke/fire alarms. Our
destruction area has three cameras that record 24 hours a
day seven days a week. This allows us to maintain a secure
area. When destruction occurs, the doors are shut and locked
to keep anyone from inside the area that does not belong
there. All of our destruction occurs within 12 hours of
receiving your material. We also have a disaster recovery
plan in case of a disaster that may occur. For example,
tornado, fire, flood, equipment failures and virtually any
other reason that we couldn’t destroy your documents we are
able to have a portable shredder on site within two hours.
Our facility in Battle Creek has some available to us on a
phone call. We also contract with two of the local on site
destructors to have them come here in the event of a
problem.
